This Yelp review fiasco has been SUCH a headache. I was going to leave well enough alone and like I mentioned before, just not even respond to the owner’s excuses. She had already sent me a personal email about it so why did she feel the need to do it again on Yelp like a month after the fact? It’s just SO weird.
Anyway, the last straw was the sales-associate sending me a personal message. There’s a line that was crossed. They shouldn’t get people to gang up on someone who simply left THEIR opinion. Also, how unprofessional is it for the sales-associate to do that? I HOPE she wasn’t told to do that, but now that she did, she’s really turning this into a situation that it did not have to become.
I have her name now so I will call corporate to double check and make sure she works there. From her Yelp photos, I’m pretty sure it’s her. Plus, the only place she has reviewed on Yelp is the store I’m talking about. They don’t need to be messaging me snarky comments. I was able to block her on Yelp as well so I won’t be having anymore correspondence with her. All I said in response was, “I am not the only person to leave a bad review so I guess we’ll let the multiple poor reviews speak for themselves!”
I mean what else do you want me to say?
Also, the root of the problem was just the girl bringing her baby to work which is inappropriate in the first place. Nobody ever addressed that and they’re not taking accountability for the fact that it’s unprofessional to be feeding your child at the cash register regardless. All they needed to do was just own it and say “maybe that was a bad call, we’ll make sure to keep that in mind for next time” and everything would have been absolutely FINE.
One thing is for sure, I will definitely NEVER EVER go back to a place that will harass me if I speak up and say their service was poor. And I will definitely also tell everyone I know. I’m not trying to ruin their business or anything - I feel like they’re already doing it to themselves.
