There's Something About Mary

I caught up with Matt’s sister over text this weekend and she told me the twins are now 7 pounds.

When they were born a month ago, they weighed 4 pounds each. They’ve gained almost 100% of their initial body weight and I’ve missed it!

I am their aunt so I can watch from afar, but it breaks my heart a little that they’re already growing so fast. Is this what being a parent is like? Because if so, I’m not sure I could deal.

I’m not sure when we will be able to visit them next, but I am pretty sure that when that time comes, I will be crying inside because they will be so much bigger than I remember. 

On the flip side, seeing them grow up will be so cool. We’ll be able to take them to fun places like the zoo or the aquarium and take them out for ice cream. I’m really looking forward to being able to do that, but in the meantime, I will be weird and be sad that they’re growing up so fast!
