As a Target Enthusiast (and general lover of retail promotional strategies), I found this article to be pretty fantastic!
Here are a few simple rules for distinguishing between a good clearance deal and a great one.
Target Markdown Rules:
- Target marks items down with percentages: 15%, 30%, 50%, 75% & 90%.
- Item will remain at a percentage off for usually two weeks before progressing to the next level.
- Target’s full prices end in 9. Thereafter each price drop will reduce the final digit in the price to either an 8, 6, or 4. (eg. A $9.99 item at 30% off will be priced $6.98). The lowest the last digit will drop is to 4. If you see something you want and the price ends in 4, buy it. The price won’t go any lower.

If so, you’ll be a millionaire when you retire!
According to this 7 Ways to Retire with $1 Million article, a 401(k) contribution of about $7,795 per year over 35 years will get you to $1 million, assuming a 7 percent annual return and fees and expenses of 0.5 percent.
Just a little financial tip of the day for ya. :)

Received some great news today so there is much to celebrate this week on top of a Birthday party dinner!
Now if only Matt will get back from his business trip a little early… Fingers crossed but highly unlikely.

Got my free tiny print cards that everyone else on Tumblr also got and unfortunately, they have those RANDOM names on them.
Awkward.
