I just realized that one of the only places (aside from Chinese restaurants) that stays open on Christmas is the Hospital. I think deep down, I’ve always known that, but… I think during clinicals/residency… somehow, the interns and the residents will just happen to draw “the short straw” and be the ones working the 12 hour Christmas shift.

For Christmas this year, my gift to my parents was getting Christmas eve dinner catered. I called all my aunts and uncles and they are here to surprise my parents. Everything went according to plan until I got sick today and spent a good part of my day smelling like icy hot, in a hoodie looking miserable under the covers in my bed.
